Getting to Westman Islands and our luxury properties is a great experience on its own, no matter how you choose to travel.

You choose between taking the ferry or flying.
The ferry is called Herjólfur and it sails between the mainland and Westman Islands all year round. Most of the time it sails from Landeyjahöfn but sometimes, when the ferry is unable to sail there, it sails from Þorlákshöfn. The drive from Reykjavík to Landeyjahöfn is about 2 hours and from Reykjavík to Þorlákshöfn is about 45 minutes, under favorable conditions. The sailing time from Landeyjahöfn is 35 minutes and from Þorlákshöfn it’s 2 hours and 45 minutes. See more information about the ferry here.

Eagle air flies from Reykjavík to the Westman Islands on Tuesdays and Fridays. The flight takes 25 minutes. Please note that the departure is from the small airport in Reykjavík, not from the international airport in Keflavík. See more information about the flights here.

Once you arrive at the beautiful Westman islands, you are right outside your front door when you arrive with the ferry, if you are staying at our lovely Pier apartment.
The walk to the Ocean Villas is 25 minutes walk from the harbor, so we recommend calling for a taxi, if you don’t take a car with you on the ferry. The local taxi is called Eyjataxi and the phone number is (+354) 698 2038
The airport is around 30 min walk to both the Villas & Apartments, so your best bet is to call for a taxi when you arrive by flight.
The address for the Pier Apartments is Básaskersbryggja 2 and for the Ocean Villas it’s Búhamar 2-10 (depending on which house you are staying at). See the picture below for the walking route from the ferry to the properties.
